CycleLights Cross Country Tour

  We wake up in the Walmart parking lot and head to the closest Fedex to print off more material. As we drive through downtown Tampa we see the beautiful scenery of the sculptures and fountains. We finally find the Fedex and print off the last of our brochures and find out who’s going where. We finally head out across the bay to St Petersburg and reach our first shop.  We wake up from our awesome sleep and get a text from Matt letting us know breakfast in the form of omelets are ready. So we wash up and head inside. Matt is sitting in the sun room on his computer working and takes a break to make us one of his famous omelets. As he prepares the omelet, we talk more about future plans for a CycleLights Mardi Gras float. We wake up drenched in sweat from sleeping in the car that’s gotten to about 85 degrees. As we stretch we get a call from our friend Joseph letting us know we’re welcome to come wash up and come in for breakfast.  So we take a few of our things in and get settled. After a while, we eat breakfast, look up a few shops to visit, do a little laundry and head out. We leave a little later than we want so we rush out before the 4 shops close. We decide to sleep in and stay in Houston over night to take advantage of the great bed and food we had as well as visiting the family. We over sleep a little and wake up around noon. Fortunately we didn’t have to be in New Orleans until 7pm. So we stick around and enjoy a farewell breakfast from the cousin as we sit and chat. Finally we take off to New Orleans. We arrive in Houston around 4am and go directly to the family’s house. After showring, we get settled then take advantage of the heaven-like bed. After a short nap we wake up  and head out to the first shop.  We see an excited business owner and a classic pup in the shop.
