CycleLights Cross Country Tour

Oddly enough we wake up early today. Probably in anticipation of our big day with the distribution company. But around 8am we open our eyes and lay around for an hour until 9 when we get out of the car and go into the walmart and grab the usual bread and water combination for the day. We wake up in the Walmart parking lot and clean out the car before we drive to Chicago. 4 hours later around 1pm we arrive in Chicago and stop at mom’s place. We get a chance to rest our feet,  eat a few hotdogs and shower. We talk about the old days and the history of how I was when I was little. Mom talks for a little longer and we head over to grandmas for about an hour. She welcomes us in and sits us on her plastic covered couches and talks with us about the business. We move...

The first stop for the day is one of many shops that wanted us to return the next day to talk to the owner. After about 5 or 6 of the shops we decide to get ready for the night ride so we camp out at a local Starbucks and handle a little business then load up and head to the night ride. We arrive and the street is lined with people and bikes. As the ride starts hundreds of people cheer and take off on their bike.  We drive in to Indianapolis and start out strong by visiting the first shop on the highway before we even arrive in the city. Indy Bicycle Garage is one of Indianapolis’ largest bike retailers and we find out early by visiting a shop and hearing that there’s an even larger shop is stunning.  Since the purchaser isn’t at that location we leave some information and head to the next shop. We decide today will be a work day and sleep in. Waking up around 1 we get started checking emails and filling orders… Grandma and grandpa make it into town so we all go out to eat and we have some amazing BBQ at a local world famous BBQ restaurant. Later we come back from dinner and sit in front of the tv to watch game 7 of the NBA finals…
