Day 18-Saturday (Manhattan, NY)

Around 7am we’re both awaken by the dog (Rover) licking our faces and doing sprints across the hard wood floor. After trying to get back to sleep and failing we finally get up and sit around the table for the LARGEST rolls of shredded wheat I’ve ever seen in my life. They were about the size of softballs and interestingly enough went very well with maple syrup. After breakfast we set off on our journey to New York. After about a 5 hour drive we arrive in New York. As soon as we cross the bridge and see the city...

We wake up from yet another stay in our favorite local family Walmart and get to work. We look up the first of MANY shops and work our way from west to east. Philly has a different fee from the other cities. It seems as we work our way from the south part of the country towards the north, the CycleLights love get less and less. Parking also starts to dwindle. Instead of being able to park in front of the shop. We pass a shop that wasn’t originally on the list called Via Bike and stop in. We arrive...

After waking from a restful night’s sleep we lay out our plan of attack for the day and hit the road. We drive a few hours north to Chapel Hill and stop by a few shops on the way to Raleigh. We arrive in Raleigh around 4 a visit a few more shops. Unfortunately, the bicycle stores in Raleigh were less receptive of the idea than anywhere else we had been. But we finish our rounds and press on to the next city as we drive through the night .

We leave Atlanta and after a 5 hour drive, arrive in Charlotte North Carolina. We hit the ground rolling and head straight to our first shop. Then another… Then another… After only a few hours we’ve run out of time and head to our next host family for the night. We arrive to a meal of hamburgers, salad, peach cobbler, and icecream that could feed an army. After dinner we all sit and talk for a little while then we get back to work, scheduling more events for our trip. 3 hours pass and we retire to our nice warms...
Day 14-Tuesday (Atlanta, GA)

We made it our mission to wake up early enough to visit the rest of the shops, so we woke up around 9 and were headed to our first shop by 10:30. Since we had already covered all of the shops outside of town, we headed downtown and drove the great Atlanta neighborhoods to our first stop. While loading up at our first stop, we hear people sitting outside of a café talking about our lights so we introduce ourselves and for the next 30 minutes have a great conversation with Rice, Anya and Paul. We leave them to their...
